We have been planning this all summer to go to the Sportscom swimming pool. Last year it opened up we didn't get over there last year and was waiting for a special time this summer to go. The pool had 2 huge slides and one smaller slide. They have a kids section with a large bucket that dumps water Finally we had planned to go to the pool this afternoon. I was going to leave the office around 1:00 take the afternoon off and go swimming.
Heather took Michael over to get some AR credit for the books he was reading and then off to the pool. I arrived paid my money and went in and found the fam. Kayla was going down the kids slide over and over. Josh was swimming around. Michael and David (A friend of Michael's that came along) were waiting in line for the rope accross the pool. After I was there for 5 minutes and the lifeguard whistle blew. Time to get out for lightning. As we waiting a severe storm hit Murfreesboro. After waiting for months we swam they were there for 10 minutes. The kids were disappointed. After it was obvious that the storm was here to stay I went to the front desk and asked them if they would make an exception on the rain check. They were very helpful and gave us passes to come back. That was nice. Now we can come back another day and didn't waste our money for the pool.
Since we weren't going to go swimming that afternoon. I headed back to the office in my bathsuit still wet. Very professional. I wasn't going to see a client that afternoon so it wasn't too big of a deal.
I had a great gift tonight. I got to sit and watch the good parts of the Wizard of Oz and the cool dinosaur parts of Jurasdic Park with Josh and Kayla. Kayla was tired so she laid her head on my lap and we watched and sang the songs with the Wizard of Oz. Such a great night. Heather and Michael had gone to drop David off. Glad to see Michael building friends.
