Matters of the Heart

Last day of July 2011.  Can't believe it.  August is coming up.  On August 20, 2011 my little girl, Kayla, will turn 3.  I remember just 3 years ago we were in Atlanta waiting on Kayla to come and visit.

The point at Church this morning was keeping your heart clean.  How difficult that is in today's world.  It is 100% correct that whatever you subject your time to, that is what you think of and focus on during the day.  The Bible discusses that whatever is good, honerable, just and right.  Think on these things.  I feel fueled up and ready for the week.  My focus this week is to focus on what is honerable, just and right.  How will I use the time God has given me with my family?

This weekend has been productive Friday afternoon I cut the yard.  Saturday we were planning to take the kids to the Sportscom pool, but like last time we planned this it stormed all morning.  So I cleaned out the garage and organized things a bit.  After that we went "out and about".  We stopped at the Stones River Mall and returned some things to Radio Shack.  We stopped by Game Stop and Michael played some football and I took Josh on in a hole of frisbee golf with Josh.  Kayla and mommy went to the playground.  After visiting the mall we headed to Home Depot for some lightbulbs for the garage and some of the outside lights.  They serve popcorn every saturday.  The guys that serve the popcorn see us almost every Saturday.  I always have one or two projects going on.  This weekend's project is the outdoor light by the garage.  I want to replace the old one.  I was up late putting this up and setting up the video camera for Church.

Michael went to a birthday party at Barfield Park and Heather I took Josh, Kayla and Heather took Toots for dinner.

Sunday Kayla and I came up with a new game.  We take the memory cards and throw them on the floor face up and then find as many matches as we can.  It was fun!  Love hearing Kayla laugh at my games.  We also played a mean game of HIHO Cherry-O.  Kayla won.

We got to Church a bit early this evening so the kids could organize the school supplies for Good Samaratain.  A program within the Lads to Leaders program.  I was encouraged at Church with the singing.  I love the singing at Church.  Growing up that has been one of my favorite things.

Tonight after Church we watch our American Funniest Home Video and then hit the sack.  Josh had a hard time this evening, but I think things are better now.

Tomorrow I need to get up early to head to Hendersonville for a meeting at 8:00 and work through a project.

Remember this week is to focus on thinking of things at are pure, right, just, etc.
